Stuck in a rut and crave to be creative! | Jenna Marshall Photography
Today I had a chat with a photographer friend of mine. I basically told her that I was getting frustrated with my editing. I wasn’t enjoying looking at a lot of my images and I wanted to try something new. My friends advice to get out of this rut was to take a step back, have a break, photograph and edit something for ME. I photograph my children all the time but tonight I photographed them just playing around the house, then edited them using techniques I had never tried before. There are no consequences or deadlines, I’m not thinking to myself, “hmm is it good enough to advertise my business,?” they are for ME! I have really enjoyed it and feel a little refreshed this evening. The editing is far from perfect but it doesn’t matter, they are for me and that feeling is freeing! Going to make this into a project to just be creative and capture real life with the kids. Thank you Sarah Roberts-nee Jennings for the advice x x x x
