I love when clients tag me in photographs showing how they have displayed the portraits I created for them. These images are made to be seen, not hidden away on a hard drive! I have to admit I am pretty awful when it comes to getting portraits my own family printed and hung up but this year I aim to make more of an effort! I read somewhere that when children see photos of themselves around the home is boosts their self-esteem. That it lets them know they are valued and treasured enough to be displayed. I have a few portraits around the house, however not as many as I’d like. My little ones will often look at them and ask questions. I love that as you can then tell them all about why that moment was special enough to photograph and print.
My favourite product at the moment are Wooden Photoblocks. It is a client favourite and a personal favourite. I have a few printed for myself. One being a portrait I took of my two children a few years ago that sits beautifully above my desk…
Photoblocks are a wooden block with a printed photo on it. The photo is not directly printed to the wood. The ages are rounded and smoothed flawlessly. Each photo block is hand coated with a protection layer, which makes it water and light-resistant. Meaning your heirloom stays and heirloom. The hand brushed coating gives a viewer the absolute wonder of an entirely handprinted photo of their memories. I am very lucky to know the lovely lady that run this business from the Netherlands with her husband. Gabriela started as a photographer and offered these solely to her own clients. As time went on they knew they had to share these with other photographers and now has a private group of clients with a huge waiting list. Gabriela puts her whole heart into everything she creates and this is why her photo blocks are my favourite product!
Recently they have also added Heirloom canvases to the range. I have already bought two for myself <3 They are photos printed to canvas and are beautifully displayed in a wooden embroidery hoop.
New for 2018 Packages that will be available from 1st February 2018 are these beautiful luxury wooden keepsake boxes to hold prints and USB’s.
