A Christmas Written in the Stars: Discover My Enchanted Christmas Mini Shoots in Hertfordshire

There’s something truly magical about Christmas through the eyes of a child. The excitement of twinkling lights and that little bit of Christmas magic that makes this time of year feel so special.

This year, I wanted to create something a little different for my Christmas mini shoots. Something enchanting, timeless and full of wonder. I have always been a fan of magic, wizards and anything celestial. I wanted a way to incorporate this in to this years Christmas Sessions.

I'm so excited to finally share my new Christmas set with you! Now I will be adding more moon and star decorations to the tree for the main Christmas Sessions. This was a tester shoot with my own 1 year old daughter who kept saying “Wowwwww!” to the lights and trees the whole time. She also completely trashed the set during this mini shoot which is to be expected for this age. I often have parents worry about their children grabbing the set and removing baubles etc during their Christmas sessions and honestly I encourage it. I want them to feel comfortable. If they are in a state of play we are more likely to get smiley, playful portraits of them. So let them cuddle the reindeer, let them rearrange the baubles on the Christmas Tree, let them unwrap the completely empty presents under the tree ;)

What's included in your Christmas mini shoot?

I've put together a special Christmas photography package so you can enjoy a beautiful, carefully styled portrait experience.

Your Christmas mini shoot includes:

• Session length: 20-30minutes

• Location: My garden studio in Stevenage, Hertfordshire

• Photographs: 20 images added to an online viewing gallery available for 2 weeks

• Included: 3 images as high resolution digital files included and a free gift for each participating child

• Investment: £125 (£35 deposit then £90 due one week before your session)

I keep a 15 minute gap between sessions so I can rebuild the set if need be but I do ask you arrive on time so as not to delay the following clients session time.

I am sooo looking forward to using this new cosy Christmas set up this year. It has such warmth to it. My next blog will be a guide on what to wear and where to purchase the clothing. For example this beautiful purple floral dress my daughter is wearing I purchased the day before from Next. Next is definitely one of the best places for Christmas outfits.
